The game supports multiple modes, including Fast Track, Team Gauntlet, Rotation, and Death Match, and runs on Linux, OS X, Windows, OpenBSD, and AmigaOS 4. The game ends when a player hits a wall or barrier. Gameplay is fast and furious players drive high-speed vehicles in a grid-lined arena, and try to draw barriers to block their opponents. Armagetron is a 3D open source clone of the original Tron game. Source code is on GitHub.Īrmagetron Advanced should be familiar to fans of the classic movie, Tron. Tron was an arcade game based on a movie of the same name, released by Disney in 1982. This has been the tagline of Armagetron since, well, a very long time and is probably the shortest and most accurate description possible. Another version of the simple action game is modeled after the light cycle sequence of the movie Tron.
